Your Funeral

She walks wicked
in the black Mary Jane’s
down velvet aisles
to the lily display
turn turn pivot
shes dancing
at your funeral
in the dress that hangs
in all the wrong ways
while they’re digging the hole
reading your eulogy
and the beat goes on
pressing the flowers
sleek mahogany
box of a body
that cant move
shes gonna groove
in the wake
on the chairs
plastic chairs
on the head stone
epitaph is: she was dancing
on you grave
doing the wave
now they’re saying a prayer
staring their stares
but she’s making her electric slide
toppling the wreaths
crashing the casket
causing a scene
with her slick shoes
backing that moon walk
into your final resting place
you were just a step
in her soiree
in her routine
her ballet
that girl’s got rhythm
and she danced your blues
shook her hips
dipped that dip
into your death trip
