The Legend of She-Creature

she wore a necklace that said evil
and her eyes spoke of sin
she castrated mens fantasies
lived in a pit of shame
she was the creature from the black lagoon
wrapped in kelp to keep her skin soft
she wore skulls on her fingers
inhaled crushed dead mans bones
she was evidence of hell
and the darkness beneath our feet
she would cat call you in with a whisper
stretch your skin in her loom
looking at her you knew
knew about the succubus
sucking the life
of virile potent strangers
lurking the cobweb corners
polishing her lips
licking that scalpel
loving in murderers row
never before
never again
she was your future
your dimming past
the reason that you sleep
in sweat
the reason that you scream
at night
terrors and brutal lust
she might be nothing
but a legend
nothing but a secret shared
at bar stools
sanctuary, is hard to find
when she pins you with her violent eyes
she knows
she is fate and you are just a thin thread

About deadendemily

Emily lives in Austin, TX. She has a minor in chaos and a major in spray paint. She likes Vincent Price and ABBA. She enjoys being covered in fake blood and writing horror stories. Most of the time she just hopes that her cat is not plotting to murder her, her cat being a minion of Satan and all. They would never suspect the cat.

  1. I like your intensity and sense of rhythm. You might like “Out” by Natsuo Kirino.

  2. I’ll have to check that out, thanks so much for the comment!
