Shatter Bomb

steel box bound in bones

heart inside stone cold

obsidian they say

retrolite  and coal

black and dustier than a witch’s crotch

that’s her soul

a box by the last lake

in a desert

of ice

what drops would bring it to life

baby’s blood

saint’s seed

the touch of god

will it beat again

for anyone

in its bone bound box

is it even a muscle anymore

what is something if it

loses all those

properties which defined it

is she

a being

has she taken on the meaning within

her organ’s steel prison

dictation of function by reality of situation

i thought those eyes were getting sootier

her mouth twisting gray

tongue dry ashes with breathing quotes

caked cracking skin shell

how do we break this

shatter bomb

Pompeii body, curled against eternity

she is the living end always
